Students in class today discussed how/ when to trust the validity of information presented in a scientific study. We looked at five ways to attribute validity including the following:
1. Absence of bias
2. Repeatability
3. Multiple trials
4. Testing of only one variable
5. Source of information
For a review, students can download the file named validityofconclusions.doc from the Earth Science Class Documents link on The Revolving Earth homepage.
