End of the year is fast approaching

By the end of this week, we'll be in the single digits as far as numbers of school days left this year. It's hard to believe, for sure.

The activities for the week of May 25th include:

Tuesday
In class - Sunwise presentations
Electricity generation and transmission discussion
Homework: Complete the back side of the "Flip the Switch for Electricity" worksheet

Wednesday
In Class - Solar Oven Web Quest - Due at the end of the hour

Materials for solar ovens may be brought in any time between now and next Tuesday May 31, ALL students must have materials BY TUESDAY in order to construct an oven. Common materials needed include a cardboard box, insulating material, sturdy tape, plastic wrap, and tin foil.

Thursday
In Class - review of non-renewable and renewable resources
Sunwise poster/poem voting
Solar oven rubric/expectations reviewed
Discussion of insulation types
Homework: Intro to solar cooking reading and questions Due Tuesday.

Friday
Science classes do not meet as normally scheduled due to High School tours, 8th grade and School-wide activities

DON'T FORGET SOLAR OVEN MATERIALS FOR TUESDAY!!!
